It's been fun

I think I like this play, but I'm not sure. Hedda is a strong willed and determined character but she's very high class and I don't think that her relationship with Tessman will last long because he's not wealthy and it seems they don't understand each other. He's quite dense; he didn't even realize what his Aunt Julie was talking about when they were discussing his trip. And he doesn't seem to care that Hedda doesn't feel apart of the family. There is a lot going on, secrets and more secrets. Lovburg and Elvsted have a history, so does Elvsted and Tessman, and than there is the connection between the pistols, Hedda and Lovburg. I know this is a tragic play but I still want to know what happens.

I saw those connections too. I wondered as i read if Hedda is the girl from Lovburg's past? What caught my attention was when Hedda asked Mrs. Elvested about the Lady in Lovburg's past. She does this possibly to see who could affect Lovburg for so long, then after she knows who it was she tries to change the subject quickly. The lady left with pistols and Hedda is going to fetch her pistols at the end of the act.

Tessman seemed so lost to me when he and Aunt Julie were talking. She was trying to ask if Hedda was pregers right? For a second I thought he was just kiding because he started talking about how Heda filled out her dress and hinting that she was prenant. IDK though he seems completely oblivious

I think its interesting that you think the relationship between Tessman and Hedda isn't going to last, I haven't read very far yet but although I noticed how completely different they are it seemed to me that they were comfortable with eachother, but I know there is definetely going to be more scandals and whatnot. Tessman is definetely more passive while hedda seems to be a bit more agressive. But she is sneaky too, and he doesn't seem to be as clever...
I cant wait to keep reading either. This book is definetely interesting so far.
